We’ve all known that ‘Sharknado 2: The Second One‘ was coming and with how much of a hit ‘Sharknado’ was, we’re happy to share the teaser for you for this upcoming sequel! Within, you will see the claims that the sequel is going to be “bigger, bolder, even more ridiculous” — and how could it not be? Syfy has an amazing track record of bringing rediculous B movies to the small screen and with how much press they got on the last one, they clearly should be able to ramp it up for the follow up.
We know in this installment (of what I’m sure would be at least a trilogy) that Ian Ziering and Tara Reid will be returning. We also know that Andy Dick, Vivica A. Fox, Kelly Osbourne, Judah Friedlander, and Judd Hirsch will be joining the cast who will be taking on a new batch of sharks and tornado attacks! The teaser doesn’t give us much of what we’ll be seeing in the movie and only briefly shows Fox, Reid, and Ziering. For the plot, we don’t get a lot of details aside from the fact that “It’s happening again.”
Oh, and it is happening again! With over 600,000 tweets about the film, 7 million US views, 1 million Canadian viewers and that isn’t even including the rest of the world, the first film had become one of the most watched B films of all time from Syfy. There was no way that a follow up wasn’t going to happen.
I’m not sure if I’m looking forward more to what is destined to be a horrible movie or all of the social media frenzy that will circle around it. If it garners even half of the attention and jokes of the first one then you know this will be another memorable experience. That might just be me though.
