A lot of early hype about the upcoming ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past‘ revolves around mixed responses to Magneto’s son Quicksilver but this latest video focuses on the Master of Magnetism himself.
While I was at first a little iffy of Michael Fassbender (‘Prometheus‘, ‘Assassin’s Creed‘) being cast as the younger version of Magneto, it was clear in ‘X-Men: First Class‘ that he had the potential to pull it off. In all of the previews that they’ve shown him in for the latest film, it really looks as if he has grown into the role which Ian McKellen played to perfection in the first three X-Men’ films.
This clip shows what Erik has the ability to do as one of the most powerful mutants on the planet. While they’ve shown the potential of what Magneto can do many times in the films befoire, this is by far one of his most over the top uses of his mutant ability on screen to date. Impressive doesn’t even begin to describe it and I feel that we’re going to be seeing quite a bit more by the time we’re done watching this movie.
Well I do have to say that is an impressive sight. You can’t help but be impressed by the pure power that the Master of Magnetism has when he is able to use his abilities at full strength.
Are you excited to see the film showing off what Magneto is really capable of? Do you think they’ll show him going toe to toe with a sentinel in the future they are trying to prevent? Are you going to be seeing ‘Days of Future Past’ on opening weekend? Share your thoughts below!
