It has been awhile since we’ve seen any new clips from ‘Snowpiercer‘, though as we draw closer to its summer release date, I believe we’re going to see an influx of new promotional material being released. Of course, if you want to know more about the film, make sure to check out the 4 minute R-rated animated prequel before heading out to the theater! With June coming up, it’s not a surprise that we have some new images and a red band trailer to share.
First up is a quick gallery that includes 10 new stills from the film. These images show that we are going to really see the full gambit of characters from those who are the nearly enslaved working class to those that are in power.
The red band trailer for ‘Snowpiercer’ gives a great idea of why the film will be getting a harder rating. I feel as if most of the trailers haven’t fully shown off the aspects of the dystopian society and this one does teh job well. Hopefully it’ll draw a few more potential viewers into being interested in the movie that is based off of the French graphic novel ‘Le Transperceneige’.
‘Snowpiercer’ is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.
Do the latest pictures give you a feeling for the world we’ll be entering when we set down to watch ‘Snowpiercer’ this summer? Did the trailer grab your attention? Share your thoughts below!
‘Snowpiercer’ stars Chris Evans, John Hurt, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Alison Pill, Ed Harris, Ewen Bremner, Octavia Spencer, Kang-ho Song, and Ko Asung and opens in the US on June 27, 2014.
