Never let it be said that Wookies have no sense of humor. Bob Iger, the current chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company is not immune to vicious, unwarranted attacks anymore than the rest of us. It seems no one is safe from malicious photo bombers, as seen in this selfie taken by Iger.
This image below was posted to the official Star Wars Instagram page with the caption “Chairman’s new co-pilot. #StarWarsDay.” I’ve asked several sources as to the identity of the Wookie, whether Peter Mayhew was the man behind the mask or not, and so far we don’t know for certain – we’re blaming that on J.J. Abrams‘ intense need for secrecy.
We know that Mayhew will be reprising his role as Chewbacca in ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ as the loveable fuzzball and many fans were excited when the first official casting news and image were released last week. No other information was given about this image but it is rumored to have been taken on the set of the film.
