We already know that Peter Parker has a lot to deal with when we see him next in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’. Not only will he have to deal with his every day teenage life, but he’ll also have to put up with Electro, Rhino, and the Green Goblin. So far, we’ve gotten some pretty good looks at the first two villains, but the third (and arguably most famous of all of Spidey’s rogues gallery) has been quite elusive. We’ve only gotten hints at the Goblin’s appearance, though we’re pretty certain that Pete’s best friend Harry Osborn, who is played by Dane DeHaan, will be the one behind mask. That is, until now. Plus, don’t stay too attached to a mask either.

Over the weekend, some of the biggest names in the toy industry gathered in New York City for Toyfair 2014. At this year’s convention, many upcoming Hollywood blockbusters like ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ unveiled their toy lines for the world to see. Naturally, Spider-Man wasn’t about to be left out in his hometown, so various items were on display, including some brand new Minimates for Gwen Stacy, the Rhino (in his underwear), and Electro. But most importantly, these miniature figurines give us the first good look at DeHaan’s deranged deviant. Check out the pictures from MTV below:

But that wasn’t the only piece of merchandise sporting the Goblin’s gnarled face at the con. Comic Book Movie shared a video showing off a new mini-bust of the character that gives us our best look yet at Harry Osborn in his post-Goblin serum state as he models some prototype armor with hints of green on it. You can see the bust in the video below:

Like I alluded to in the introductory paragraph, it looks like we won’t be seeing a Goblin mask from Marc Webb’s version of the character. While it looks pretty interesting in plastic, I’m interested to see what it looks like in the flesh. Maybe now that the toys are out there in the world, we’ll get to see more of the younger Osborn in some upcoming trailers or TV spots for the film.

What do you think of this version of the Green Goblin from ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’? Are you excited to see him square off against Andrew Garfield’s Spidey? Share your thoughts in the comments.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Paul Giamatti, and Sally Field swings into theaters in 3D on May 2, 2014.
