Today brings us some fantastic news for fans of ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars‘ who were never able to get an ending for the show as it had been cancelled even though the final season was completed. While we knew that Dark Horse was making a comic series of the show before the comic franchise is moved back to Marvel, those of us who wanted a proper televised conclusion have reason to celebrate. Today it looks like we’re going to get to watch the completed final season after all!  Netflix is sending in the clones to give us that closure!

The streaming service has picked up exclusive rights to be able to show off the unaired sixth final season for the show. It should be no surprise to see Disney and Netflix working together as they already have an exclusive deal to put out quite a few Marvel television shows.

Here is the official synopsis for the last 13 episode story arc of season six:

In these eagerly anticipated episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, some of the deepest mysteries of the conflict between the light and the dark sides of the Force are revealed. An intrepid clone trooper discovers a shocking secret, Anakin Skywalker’s closest relationship is tested to its limits and what Master Yoda discovers while investigating the disappearance of a Jedi could forever change the balance of power in the galaxy.

The episodes are set to drop on March 7th and will not only include the 13 new episodes but all of the ‘Clone Wars’ saga to date including director’s cuts and the related feature film to it’s North American subscribers. No word yet on an international release.
