Arguably the most famous fictional serial killer around returns on February 28th on NBC. At the end of the last season, Hannibal Lecter had framed FBI agent Will Graham for murders Lecter himself committed. Will realizes that Lecter is the real monster, but is locked in jail and the public has already made up their minds and has judged Graham as guilty, making it impossible for him to unearth the truth about Lecter.
Here is the show’s official description:
‘Hannibal’ stars Mads Mikkelsen as brilliant psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter, who is working with the FBI and gifted criminal profiler Will Graham, played by Hugh Dancy, to look into the mind of serial killers. The series also stars Laurence Fishburne as Jack Crawford, the head of the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit.
And here is a synopsis of the first episode of season two:
“Hannibal” Episode 2.01 – “Kaiseki” (air date 2/28/14)
With Will still in custody for the murder of Abigail, Dr. Lecter steps in to help when bodies wash up on a riverbank. The big question is whether or not Dr. Bloom will be able to help Will regain his memories.
What do you think? It certainly seems like a lot of game-changers are in store as Hannibal replaces Will, but later comes into conflict with Crawford. Also in store, Michael Pitt (known as Jimmy on ‘Boardwalk Empire’ and Jen’s football player boyfriend on ‘Dawson’s Creek’), comes aboard as the established character Mason Verger, who previously appeared in the movie ‘Hannibal’. Uh, things didn’t go great.
Are you a fan? Does this promo get you pumped for Season Two?
