‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ is 2 months away and to kick off the excitement for its premiere, Marvel has decided that the Super Bowl was the best medium to show off the newest trailer!

The film is the third of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 2 films that will culminate in the release of ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’. With ‘Iron Man 3’ and ‘Thor: The Dark World’ now behind us, many are wondering how Captain America has fared since the Battle of New York and how good this film will be. And from the trailer below, it looks like this Marvel movie will not disappoint!

The teaser gives a good look at all the players in the film as well as Falcon’s wingsuit. Check it out below:

Of course Marvel fans across the pond may not understand American’s obsession with their version of football, and since ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ does premiere a week earlier there than in the US (yes, we do note the irony that a Captain AMERICA film does not get a release in AMERICA first), Marvel has also released a UK version of the Super Bowl trailer. While essentially the same, the beginning of the UK version does show a lot more of Black Widow (which only solidifies the fact that a solo Black Widow film needs to be made):

So what do you think? Are you looking forward to the first Marvel film of 2014?

Synopsis:

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders , Frank Grillo, Emily Van Camp, Hayley Atwell  and Robert Redford.  The film will be released in theaters on March 26th in the UK and on April 4 in the US.
