Last month, it was rumored that Jason Momoa was in talks to appear in ‘Batman Vs. Superman’ potentially as the rampaging monster Doomsday.  But as I always say regarding any news surrounding this movie, take everything with a grain of salt, because it’s still so early in, that not only is there false information flying around, but even things that are official could change.

But it seems that Momoa’s involvement falls squarely in that “false information” category.  The burly actor set the record straight, saying “It’s just rumors.  I want to say something amazing, but I can’t comment on rumors. It’s flattering. I’m not involved in it. Maybe that’s how it came out, maybe someone said, ‘You should be in this!’ and I said, ‘Yeah that would be great!’ And it just went too far.”

The other problem we, as fans, run into however, is that Hollywood types have just started lying to the press and the public.  J.J. Abrams and all involved denied that Benedict Cumberbatch was playing Khan in ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ up to the minute that audiences took the film in the first time.  So could this be another Hollywood fake out?  Or is Momoa telling the truth, that he’s really not involved with this production?

He did confirm that he’s auditioned for the part of Drax the Destroyer in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, a part that eventually went to professional wrestler David Bautista.  (Psst… allegedly after Momoa wanted too much money… ALLEGEDLY!)  Momoa stated “I mean you audition for things. I auditioned for it. I think it’s the kind of like, ‘He’s a big guy that does action, and he’s gonna fit in somewhere.'”

Are you sad that Momoa (ALLEGEDLY!) won’t be playing Doomsday?  Is there another comic book movie property you could see him taking on?  Comment below!
