Rumors have been swirling that Wonder Woman may pop up in the ‘Batman Vs. Superman’ movie.  (Funny how Batman suddenly jumped to the head of the line, when this is technically a ‘Man Of Steel’ sequel.)  Warner Brothers president of creative development and worldwide production, Greg Silverman, addressed these rumors… while failing to actually confirm or deny them.

In reference to Wonder Woman as well as other characters in DC’s roster, he stated:

“We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters and we love them.  Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it’s a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero.”

Uh, so is Wonder Woman appearing in ‘Batman Vs. Superman’ or in her own movie?

“We are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that’s respectful to those characters and maximizes the stories as best they can, so everything that has been speculated are things that we’ve thought about.”

Man, this guy should run for office!  Way to side-step every question!

He also addressed the controversial decision to cast Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne.

“We knew going in that we had more information than the general public had.  We knew what the take of the movie was, we knew what the character was going to be. We don’t take these decisions lightly. We thought about everybody — brand new people, established people. Ben is the perfect guy to play this role… They both will be wearing suits, there are capes involved, there will be action, there will be excitement…. They’ve crafted a great story.  I mean, this is where it all comes from for us. It’s just a great story that involves these amazing characters.”

The sequel to ‘Man of Steel’ has already begun filming.  So will there be a cameo by the Amazon Princess?  Maybe, maybe not.  Silverman’s comments are too vague to really tell.  But an appearance in that film certainly wouldn’t hurt her chances at a solo film.

What do you think?  Would you like to see a Wonder Woman cameo in ‘Batman Vs. Superman’?  Or would you rather they hold off and debut her in her own movie?
