The cast and crew of ‘The Walking Dead’ have been hard at work putting together the fourth season under the direction of new showrunner Scott Gimple. The hit AMC zombie drama is gearing up for a return in the fall, and we’ve been getting a few tasty morsels to keep us appeased until the season premiere in the form of deleted scenes, trailers, and featurettes. Now, we get a sneak peek at what’s to come with this new snippet from a scene.

During the network’s ‘Low Winter Sun’, AMC offered up an exclusive first look at the next season of the show based on Robert Kirkman’s Image Comics creation. In the brief video, you can see Michonne returning to the prison on her trusty steed, but she encounters a bit of trouble before the doors could shut behind her. You can see the clip, which also features Maggie and Carl, below:

It’s not too much to go off of, but it’s something new at least. Every year, it seems like time between seasons of ‘The Walking Dead’ gets longer and longer. I know that I can’t be the only one suffering out there. Hopefully we’ll get some teasers with a little more meat in the coming weeks prior to the new season.

What did you think of the new, yet extremely brief clip from ‘The Walking Dead’? Do you think that Scott Gimple will do a good job at the helm of the show’s fourth season? What are some things that you hope will happen when it comes back on the air? Share your thoughts and theories in the comment section.
