With a price point of $399 ($100 less than the Xbox One), the PlayStation 4 already has one leg up on their main rival. Not only that, they are also going to have a sooner release date than their competitor. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, we’ve finally been told exactly when you can purchase a PlayStation 4 and that initial release date is November 15th 2013 in North America. In Europe, you can get the PS4 on November 29th in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Also on the 29th, you’ll see the PlayStation 4 also available in the Latin American countries of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama and Peru.
What’s more, the console has upped their gaming experience with the implementation of Twitch (a live streaming service for gamers). PlayStation 4 gamers will now have an easy way to broadcast their game play to their Twitch channel in real-time! Now it’ll easy to share your game play, accomplishments, and strategies with friends or fans everywhere from the single press of a button.
The PlayStation 4 Launch Trailer
At E3, Sony really tore it up by ripping into their rival, Microsoft, for some of the decisions they had made for their console. This time around they tried to do so again, and while some of the digs landed, most fell a little short. Maybe they were overdone last time? Maybe it’s because the digs were aimed at Microsoft who have already changed their policies (at the request and pleasure of their fans)? Maybe it’s because right now, the focus should be on the PlayStation 4 because they’ve finally got a console that will bring them back to being the dominant force in the gaming industry. Whatever the reason, the excitement was still very high when the announcement of when the PlayStation 4 will become available was made. Check it out in the video below:
What Titles Will Be Available At Launch?
Specs and release dates aside if you can’t actually play anything that will take advantage of your new system, it would pretty much feel like an oversized paperweight (media watching aside of course.)
