It’s been three years since we’ve last seen Kick-Ass onscreen, and the creator of the comic book Mark Millar has always been confidant that we’d get a sequel, but by the sounds of things, there was a little doubt about whether or not Dave and Mindy would get to team up once again. With ‘Kick-Ass 2’ coming out this weekend, the cast and crew are out and about doing press tours for the film and some of them get into the process of getting Jeff Wadlow’s adaptation off the ground.
In a recent interview with Collider, star Aaron Taylor-Johnson goes on about the long road back to theaters for these “real life” superheroes. The young actor also talks about the emotional journey for each character, how awesome he felt walking around in costume, and his upcoming projects like ‘Godzilla’ and ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’. Check out everything that he has to say in the following video:
While my full review of ‘Kick-Ass 2’ is on it’s way, I will say that he is so spot on when he talks about the emotional journeys of the characters this time around. I found that to be one of the stronger aspects of the film and I’m excited to see how the fans react to it.
Also, Taylor-Johnson appears to have already gotten very good at keeping things vague and secretive, Marvel style. I’m very curious to see how Joss Whedon has written Quicksilver and how the actor plays him.
