Right now in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s all about ‘Iron Man 3’ and ‘The Avengers 2’. Currently, the latest film featuring Tony Stark is climbing the box office charts and is currently seated as the fifth highest grossing movie of all time. Meanwhile, fans are buzzing about Quicksilver appearing in both Joss Whedon’s 2015 sequel and Bryan Singer’s return to the X-Men franchise with ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’. But before either team can assemble onscreen, ‘Thor: The Dark World’ will be hitting theaters with the hopes that lightning will strike twice for Marvel this year.
Last month, the first trailer for the film debuted, but now it appears that the promotional push has really begun for the Asgardian Avenger’s next solo film. Empire Magazine has recently rolled out an article spotlighting the God of Thunder that features some new pictures of star Chris Hemsworth, Marvel newcomer (and 9th Doctor) Christopher Eccleston as Malekith the Accursed, and a few Dark Elves. Additionally, Marvel has launched an official site for the film. There you can find some of the previously released stills, some downloadable wallpaper and the trailer. As the film’s release date draws closer, I’m sure that you’ll be able to find even more exclusive content there.
