Syfy alum, Colin Ferguson, is returning to the network as it has been announced that he has joined the cast of ‘Haven’ for its upcoming fourth season.

Many fans recognize Ferguson for his work on the Syfy series ‘Eureka’ as the endearing Sheriff Jack Carter. The series lasted for five seasons and was a topic of fan outrage when it was announced that the show would be cancelled after the fifth season. He recently was reunited with his ‘Eureka’ co-star Niall Matter on the series ‘Primeval: New World’ playing the character Howard Kanan.

Season 4 of ‘Haven’ will pick up six months after the devastating events of the Season 3 cliffhanger in which the town was pummeled by a violent meteor storm. Audrey and Duke (Eric Balfour) vanished into thin air and left an injured Nathan (Lucas Bryant) alone in Haven. Ferguson will be playing William, a handsome mysterious stranger whose secret agenda leads him to Audrey (Emily Rose).

‘Haven’ is one of those gems that really deserves more attention than it is receiving. The series is based on the novella, ‘The Colorado Kid’, from renown author Stephen King and follows former FBI agent Audrey Parker, who becomes a cop in the small town of Haven, Maine, and soon discovers the town’s many secrets – which also hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of her lost past.

Production for season 4 began today, May 8, in Halifax, Nova Scotia with an expected return on air on the Syfy network sometime in October.
