It’s always hard to keep things under wraps when filming on location. Paparazzi are always ready with their cameras to catch any glimpse of newsworthy images. Not too long ago, photographers were able to catch Jamie Foxx as Electro and now, director Marc Webb has gotten the jump on these guys and has tweeted the first official look of Foxx as Electro’s alter ego, Max Dillion, for his upcoming sequel ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’:

The photo has Foxx in front of a clipping of Spider-Man. It seems to confirm the description of the character that Foxx gave back in December when he states that Dillion was a “nobody” and soon becomes obsessed with superhero:

“You’ll see his whole life is just no one is talking to him, people have stolen his ideas at the company, he’s a nobody.  And at a certain point Spider-Man bumps into him and says, ‘You’re my guy, you’re my ears and eyes on the street,’ and he says his name, Max, and no one’s ever said Max Dillon’s name, and he goes ‘Wow.’  And so when Spider-Man leaves he sort of thinks that somehow, ‘I am Spider-Man’s partner,’ and so he starts cutting out his face and pasting it on his board at home.  When everything goes bad, his mom doesn’t remember his birthday, I mean all these crazy things happen until finally he has something tragic happen, and then when it turns on he lights it up.”

Right after Webb’s tweetpic went up, Dane DeHaan also tweeted a photo of himself as Harry Osborn:

While we can’t tell too much from the photo of what Osborn will be up to in the sequel, it will be interesting to see DeHaan’s take on the Green Goblin Jr.

What do you think of the photos? Has your opinion of Foxx as Electro or DeHaan as Osborn changed your mind about the casting or do you think these actors are a good fit for their characters?
