When the cover of the new issue of Entertainment Weekly was revealed to feature Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel, we knew it wouldn’t be long before more images would be released and make their way online. Well, we didn’t’ have to wait long, as they are now here and we have them for your viewing pleasure!

What struck me the most about these images was the costumes of both General Zod (Michael Shannon) and Supes himself. The new Superman suit does take some time to get used to with the beltless unitard look but Cavill fits the costume well and looks very much the part:

As for General Zod, we really never got a good look of him in the previously released trailers, so it’s nice to see this close up now. The alien uniform looks very complex and I’m actually looking forward to seeing the complete effects with the CGI added in:

Speaking of villains, while this image is not as up close and detailed as the one above, we do get to see a limited view of another visiting Kryptonian villian, Faora, played by Antje Traue. Looks like she is attempting some kind of mind meld on Lois Lane (Amy Adams) as Superman looks on:

The rest of the images have Supes flying, an image of Perry White (Laurence Fishburne) with Lois Lane and photos of Clark’s parents (adoptive and biological).

So what do you think so far? Another trailer is rumored to be dropping soon so make sure you return to ScienceFiction.com so you don’t miss seeing it!
