They are finally here! After days of being teased, the first official trailer for ‘The Wolverine’ has arrived online! Not only do we get a domestic trailer, Fox has also released an international one which you can also see below.

The film looks amazing! As mentioned in the past, ‘The Wolverine’ has a more somber and darker tone than what most movie goers would expect from a Marvel film, and that’s a good thing. It’s refreshing to see Logan (Hugh Jackman) in a vulnerable state much like Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) in ‘Iron Man 3’.

The film is based on the 1982 comic book arc by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont and is said to take place after the events of ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’.  And for all you Jean Grey fans, the definitive answer to her appearance can be seen in the trailers.

See for yourself and let us know if you think ‘The Wolverine’ is a worthy story and sequel for the Adamantium superhero:

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

‘The Wolverine’ stars Hugh Jackman,  Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Rila Fukushima, Tao Okamoto and Brian Tee. It hits theaters on July 26th, 2013.
