In just a couple months, movie goers will finally get to see the long awaited film ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation‘ and to remind us of this fact, Paramount has released a new international 3D preview trailer.

The film’s release date, which was originally slated to be last June, was pushed back with the studios stating they were working on some reshoots and converting the film to 3D. Some were wondering if the reshoots would involve filming more scenes with Channing Tatum, but from the look of the trailer below, it seems the rework was to focus on more action… more specifically, ninja action.

It‘s quite odd to watch a trailer that for,  the first half of the footage, centers on an action sequence with no title frames or close up on any actors in the film. We do get a glimpse of Byung-hun Lee as he suits up as Storm Shadow.

The action, however, is sensational as the ninjas fight the two Joes on the side of the mountain. You can already tell that this sequence will look incredible in IMAX 3D. The video then reminds us that this is a trailer for ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ by the firebombing of London in one CGI-enhanced swoop and the Joes walking into action.

If you want to see more of ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’, then head over to a screening of ‘Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.’ Paramount has announced that the first four minutes of ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ will be attached to the film so you’ll get a chance to see the beginning before the film is released on March 29th.
