This week, a new Marvel NOW teaser was revealed for a new title coming in April. As you can see from the picture above, the teaser features a DNA strand and the letters XX.
Comic Book Movie speculates that it’s another X-Men title. Adding to the speculation, the chromosome pairing of XX signifies a female, so maybe the new title will feature a genetically altered/enhanced female member of the X-Men team. If X-23 weren’t involved in ‘Avengers Arena’ right now, my best guess would’ve been a new solo title for her.
As for the creative team, Brian Wood is known for his work on ‘Ultimate X-Men’ and ‘Wolverine and the X-Men: Alpha & Omega’. Olivier Coipel most recently shined during ‘Avengers Vs. X-Men’, but has also provided artwork for ‘Thor’, ‘New Avengers’, and ‘X-Men’. While both have experience with the X-Men, Marvel NOW has shaken up writers and put them on new titles to switch things up, but at this point, one doesn’t know what to expect with this new status quo in the Marvel Universe.
