The next issue of Rick Remender and John Romita Jr.’s Marvel NOW collaboration with the Star-Spangled Avenger comes out next week. If you were like me, then you didn’t really take an immediate liking to ‘Captain America’ #1, but maybe these preview pages might convince us otherwise.

When we last left Steve Rogers, he was sent to an alternate universe by Arnim Zola, but he didn’t make the trip alone as his old foes infant son went along for the trip as well.

Thanks to Comic Book Resources, you can check out a few pages and the variant cover for the Sentinel of Liberty’s latest issue where we catch up with Cap and his new ward in Dimension Z.

I’m not sure if these pages are enough to convince me of the quality of this issue, but I think that I’m willing to give Remender and Romita another go. Both are talented creators and Captain America is my favorite hero, so just for the sheer fact that this is a different storyline than we’ve been used to with him. However, if this is turning into a Batman situation where Cap gets another sidekick after the last one grows up, I’m not exactly sure how forgiving I’ll be.
