Disney has debuted the first of three one sheets for Sam Raimi’s ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ and it is as wickedly stunning as the trailer!

Featured in the poster is the first look at The Wicked Witch of the West, Theodora, played by Mila Kunis who told Access Hollywood that playing the iconic witch was “incredibly scary.”

The other two posters are said to feature Theodora’s sisters, Evanora (Rachel Weisz), the Wicked Witch of the East who was taken out by Dorothy and Glinda (Michelle Williams) the Good Witch of the North. Put together, the three posters will become a panoramic feast for the eyes!

‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ marks the return of Sam Raimi in the director’s chair since ‘Drag Me to Hell’ in 2009. Unlike the familiar and iconic MGM movie ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ Raimi’s film is a prequel about how Oscar Diggs became the great “wizard” audiences have come to know.

The film promises to be as visually impressive as the 1939 film was in its time bringing to life the world of Oz through a combination of digital effects and set designs. From the stills and trailer, there’s high hopes that this film will be a fun feature that can easily stand on its own.

Check out the first of the three Witches poster below after the film’s synopsis and let us know what you think!

Synopsis:

Oz The Great and Powerful imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved character, the Wizard of Oz. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.
