Last week, the mystery of who would be playing Mother Russia in ‘Kick-Ass 2’ was solved when it was revealed that Olga Kurkulina would be donning the hammer and sickle in James Wadlow’s new film thanks to some set photos that depicted the bodybuilder in costume on set. Now, more costumed figures are showing up on Toronto set in the form of a familiar face framed with purple hair.
Courtesy of Comic Book Movie, we get our first look at returning star Chloe Moretz suiting up once again as Hit-Girl, Kick-ass’ trusty companion. We also get some shots of the actress’ stunt double hanging from a fire escape ladder, of Morris Chestnut, who’s replacing Omari Hardwick as Sergeant Marcus Williams, and of Kick-Ass himself, Aaron Johnson, holding a little girl.

Scheduled for release on June 28, 2013, ‘Kick-Ass 2’ stars Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Nicolas Cage as they reprise their roles from Matthew Vaughn’s adaptation of Mark Millar’s popular comic book, alongside newcomers John Leguizamo, Donald Faison, and Jim Carrey.
