At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, fans went wild for Edgar Wright’s test reel for ‘Ant-Man’, but everyone else who couldn’t make it out to the con were left in the dark. Now, it seems like we might be given the chance to see the footage after all.

According to Collider, Marvel executive Victoria Alonso implied that once the footage was completed, it could be released to the public. She said:

“What we showed at Comic-Con was a work in progress.  We’re working on finishing it, and I think you might see it.  Not sure where, but we always listen to the fans.  And if the fans demand it we make sure they get it.  I don’t know if we are going to post it online, but I don’t have [any reason] to believe we may not.”

When I heard that the footage was unveiled in the hallowed Hall H, I was super bummed that I wouldn’t get the chance to see Ant-Man on screen until a trailer hit, so this is certainly great news for me and the Marvel fans everywhere who couldn’t get to SDCC.

Alonso also addressed the rumor that Viggo Mortensen might be in line to play Doctor Stephen Strange in Alan Taylor’s ‘Thor: The Dark World’:

“We would love to work with Viggo Mortensen.  I’ve been trying that for years.  But I don’t know if Viggo is even acting anymore.  I thought he wasn’t acting anymore.  It would be great to work with him in the future, but we don’t have him signed, no.”

While it would be a casting decision that I’m sure a lot of people would like to see, it appears that nothing is set in stone just yet. Or Alonso could be covering and she’s trying not to ruin the surprise. Who knows?Maybe we’ll have an update on Doc Strange teaming with Thor when New York Comic-Con rolls around in October.
