When Michael Bay isn’t doing something to piss off TMNT fans these days, it looks as if he’s trying to expand into the realm of television. Now, his epic explosions can be brought to you weekly via the director’s new television projects. Previously, he had set up a pirate drama at Starz titled ‘Black Sails’ and the non-pirate related ‘The Last Ship’ at TNT, but now he’s lining up a supernatural cop drama at A&E called ‘Occult’.

According to Collider, Bay will produce this new show through his company Platinum Dunes. Written by ‘American Horror Story’, ’21 Jump Street’, and ‘The X-Files’ writer James Wong, ‘Occult’ will follow “an FBI agent who has returned from administrative leave after going off the deep end while investigating his wife’s disappearance. Eager to be back on the job, he is paired with an agent with her own complicated backstory who specializes in the occult.  The duo set out to solve cases as part of the newly formed occult crimes task force.”

‘Occult’ hasn’t been ordered to series just yet, like A&E’s other recent scripted acquisitions ‘Bates Motel’ and ‘Those Who Kill’, but it looks like Bay and company will at least get a pilot order.
