More photos have been leaked from the Australian set of ‘The Wolverine,’ the sequel to ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine.’ From the looks of it, it seems that Logan (Hugh Jackman) has seen better days.

After seeing these photos and the ones of Henry Cavill as Clark Kent on ‘Man of Steel,’  it seems that 2013 may be the year of the scruffy superhero.

(MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD)

Filming is currently occuring in Australia and although no specifics about the scene were given, it’s being speculative that it could be associated with the beginning of Frank Miller’s “Japanese Saga” in ‘Wolverine #1.’ In it, Logan/Wolverine pursues a man-eating grizzly bear in the Canadian Rockies. When he finds out the bear has a poison arrow in it that is causing its erratic behavior, Logan is determined to track the hunter who caused the bear pain and finds him at a local bar where a fight ensures.

Previously it was revealed that the opening sequence of ‘The Wolverine’ will take place in a WWII prison camp and involve an atomic bomb. It’s also been said that Logan/Wolverine will travel to Japan and deal with his nemeses Silver Samurai and Viper.

This movie sounds pretty grand and may even redeem the superhero after the greatly lacking ‘X-Men: Wolverine’ film. But first, we need to get past the raggedy look.

Let me know what you think of after seeing the pictures below:

‘The Wolverine’ is scheduled for release on July 26, 2013.
