The final season of ‘Fringe’ will begin late September but the waterworks for this farewell will begin at Comic-Con when the cast will make their last appearance together in the grand room of Hall H.
Cast members Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, John Noble, and executive producer J.H. Wyman (who will be piloting the final season alone due to the recent departure of Jeff Pinkner) will be conducting the panel that will kick off their final 13 episode season. “The Comic-Con panel is something I always look forward to, but this year it’s bittersweet,” says the executive producer, “I think we have lots of good stuff in store for them.” One of the “good stuff” he was referreing to is an exclusive poster that will be given to the panel attendees teasing what’s to come in Season 5… and it doesn’t look too pleasant.
If you recall, when we last left ‘Fringe,’ Walter was visited by September who said, ““We have to warn the others. They are coming.” When asked who “they” were, the credits begin to roll. From the looks of the poster, it looks like ‘they” are the Observers and an Observer filled confrontation with the ‘Fringe’ crew may be in the works.
The title of the season premiere episode is called ‘Transilience Thought Unifier Model-11’ and was written by Wyman himself. It’s already been revealed that ‘Fringe’ will be heading back to the year 2036 but the executive producer/writer won’t offer any more details saying:
“If I give you any spoilers, it will just force me to go back in time and prevent myself from answering this question. So if you wouldn’t mind, I should probably save us all the trouble and the potential paradoxes.”
The ‘Fringe’ Comic-Con panel will be held on Sunday, July 15th from 10am-11am in Hall H.
