It looks like we’ll be seeing more of Meghan Ory as ABC has announced they have upped her status from recurring role to a regular one in the fantasy world of ‘Once Upon a Time.’

Ory played Ruby the waitress in the real world but was also the lovely Red Riding Hood in Story Time. Of course all you fans know that Red has a surprising alter ego of her own which I would list as one of my top moments of the season. If you haven’t seen it yet, then all I would say is that Storybrooke residents should start hiding their pets.

Apparently the offer had been prompted by the fact that Ory had been fielding some strong pilot offers earlier in the year and ABC didn’t want to lose this beauty. Once it was official that ‘Once Upon a Time’ had been renewed for a second season, they offered her the regular position.

‘Once Upon a Time’ was the 2011-12 TV season’s highest-rated freshman drama and is set to stay in its Sunday night 8pm slot for the next season. Set in a town filled with people who don’t know they are the embodiments of the fairy tale characters we all grew up with, the series also stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming, Lana Parrilla as the evil Queen and Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan – Snow White and Prince Charming’s daughter.

With the news that Ory will now be an important part of the storyline, I’m now curious to see how her character and alter ego will fit in Regina’s plans and in the world of Storybrooke, aren’t you?
