The general consensus that I’m seeing around the web is that fans of ‘Game of Thrones’ thoroughly enjoyed this week’s episode, ‘Blackwater’. Well I have good news and bad news. First the bad news: The next episode marks the end of the second season. While it’ll be a major bummer waiting for the next seasone to start, the good news is that the season finale will be an extended episode!

The season two finale of HBO’s hit medieval drama titled ‘Valar Morghulis’ will be extended by 10 minutes, according to Cinemablend. Normally, an episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ runs at about 55 minutes, but the official run time of this final episode is listed as 64 minutes. Yes, you’ll have to say goodbye to your beloved ‘Song of Ice and Fire’ adaptation for a while, but at least you get to put it off for 10 more minutes before you turn to the ‘Game of Thrones’ video game to tide you over until season three.

If you’re looking to DVR the show this Sunday, make sure to set it correctly so that you don’t miss a minute of this epic extended last hurrah for season two. Hopefully David Benioff and D.B. Weiss use their time wisely and deliver something extremely excellent that leaves the audience desperately wanting more the second the credits roll.
