Did you plan on marathoning all the Marvel movies before ‘The Avengers’ comes out on May 4th? Well, thanks to AMC Theatres, you can marathon on the big screen at your local AMC movie theater with their Ultimate Marvel Marathon!

According to their website, starting at 11:30AM on May 3, 2012, you can go to participating theaters, pay $40, and watch ‘Iron Man’, ‘The Incredible Hulk’, ‘Iron Man 2’, ‘Thor’, and ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’, with the last two films being in 3D. Then, at midnight, you can be among the first of the American public to lay eyes on Joss Whedon’s ‘The Avengers’ in 3D.

So far, The Ultimate Marvel Marathon has only been announced in 10 cities, but more theaters will be announced on March 16th. The following theaters have tickets on sale now:

  • Boston Common 19 (Boston, MA)
  • Burbank 16 (Burbank, CA)
  • Downtown Disney 12 (Anaheim, CA)
  • Aventura 24 (Aventura, FL)
  • Empire 25 (New York, NY)
  • Garden State 16 (Paramus, NJ)
  • Downtown Disney 24 (Lake Buena Vista, FL)
  • Metreon 16 (San Francisco, CA)
  • Alderwood 16 (Lynnwood, WA)
  • Tysons Corner 16 (McLean, VA)

Six movies, with three of them in 3D, for $40? That doesn’t sound like a bad deal to me. The price also includes a pair of the limited edition Avengers 3D glasses retailed at $10 each. And, if you’re an AMC Stubs member, you also receive $5 worth of Bonus Bucks, which you can put towards half a small bag of popcorn or a bottle of water or something.

If you have any vacation or sick days saved up, Marvel fans, you may want to use one if AMC is having one of these in your town. I would personally be there if I didn’t have a job keeping me behind a desk in an office all day… OH WAIT! I don’t ;) If they decide to do one here in Philly, if I can afford it, and if one of my friends will go with me, I will most likely be there for sure.
