You can’t keep a good housewife down and if you’re Vanessa Williams, you just move to another address. Williams has just been announced as the latest star to join the ABC supernatural drama ‘666 Park Ave.’

Williams has a pretty impressive resume but most may know her as Wilhelmina Slater in the series ‘Ugly Betty’ and she can currently be seen as Renee Perry in the soon to be concluded series ‘Desperate Housewives.’ Her casting in the new pilot stems from a talent holding deal between ABC and Williams that was signed in November.

In what seems to be typecasting, Williams will play Olivia Doran, the “coldly beautiful and sophisticated” wife of the building’s owner, Gavin, played by Terry O’Quinn (‘Lost’). She will be joining previously announced Dave Annable (‘Brothers & Sisters’) and Rachael Taylor (‘Charlie’s Angels’, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘The Darkest Hour’) who play a couple who have just signed on to manage this eerie historical building and Mercedes Masohn (‘The Finder’) and Robert Buckley (‘One Tree Hill’) who are married tenants.

‘666 Park Ave.’ is based on a book series by Gabriella Pierce about a young couple (Annable & Taylor) who accept an offer to manage the apartment building when they unwittingly begin to experience supernatural occurrences that complicate and endanger everyone’s lives in the building.

There has been no production start date released yet but the pilot is hoped to air during the Fall season.
