Yesterday we got a behind the scenes glimpse of ‘The Hunger Games’, taking a more in depth look at Gary Ross’ vision of the powerful story. We’ve been waiting a while for a new trailer to be released, and it looks like today our wait is over as the trailer that will be shown during the Super Bowl has been released.
This new trailer focuses more on the sisterly love between Katniss and her younger sister Primrose. Fans of the book will probably notice the difference with the Mockingjay pin already, with Katniss giving the pin to Prim instead of the Mayors daughter Madge giving it to her. We also get our first glimpse of President Snow, played by Donald Sutherland. There is also a moment with Cinna (played by Lenny Kravitz) and Katniss, showing their platonic friendship will be very strong throughout the film. Just before the trailer was released, an image of the two was shown. This trailer will be hitting theaters next week.

In other news, according to a press release today, ‘The Hunger Games’ will also be digitally remastered for IMAX viewings. The movie is going to have a “limited one week engagement in IMAX theaters”.
‘The Hunger Games’ will be in theaters March 23rd.
