Despite delays, ‘Men in Black III’ will be opening in May. The film sees Will Smith reprise his role as Agent J, going back in time to team up with a young Agent K (Josh Brolin taking over the role from his ‘No Country for Old Men’ costar, Tommy Lee Jones). Perhaps lost in the hype surrounding the new film (but not for ‘Flight of the Conchords’ fans) is New Zealander Jemaine Clement.

The New Zealand Herald has released the first picture of the comedian in his role as Yaz – also the name of a popular birth control method – the principle bad guy. Clement’s classic, deep-set features are covered by longer hair and an unkempt beard, dressed as a 60’s era biker. However, don’t think that J and K will be battling Dennis Hopper. Clement reveals that underneath his Hells Angels-esque disguise, he’s actually an alien (which should come as no surprise).

In case you haven’t seen the the ‘Men In Black 3’ movie trailer or read about the storyline already, here’s the official Synopsis:

In Men in Black 3, Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back… in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him — secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.

Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, ‘Men in Black 3’ stars Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, Emma Thompson and Alice Eve and will be released in theaters on May 25, 2012.
