‘G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation’ Crew Member Dies On Set

It’s always sad news when a fatal accident occurs on a set of a movie or TV show and this incident is no exception. TMZ has reported that yesterday crew member, Mike Huber, was killed while working on the set of ‘G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation.’

Huber was one of the local hires that was working on dismantling the set when the high-powered scissor lift he was on tipped over. Huber sustained fatal injuries. Filming of the movie has already been completed so no principal actors were on set.

Paramount has issued a statement expressing their sympathy. “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the Huber family at this time. The safety of our cast and crew is our top priority and the studio is fully cooperating with all investigating agencies as they examine the circumstances surrounding this unusual accident.”

‘G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation’ is scheduled to be released on June 29, 2012.
