It’s always hard for a child actor to transition into adult roles when they get older, especially when audiences watch you grow up as the iconic Harry Potter in the ‘Harry Potter’ films. Since the completion of the filming of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2’, Daniel Ratcliff has been taking on roles that are very different from his wizard alter ego. He is currently starring in the Broadway play ‘How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying’ and can now be seen back on the big screen in the supernaturally creepy movie, ‘The Woman in Black.’

Radcliff plays a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps, who travels to a remote village to sort out a recently deceased client’s paper and discovers the locals are being terrorized by a vengeful ghost of a Woman in Black. He is compelled to uncover her true identity and race against time as he discovers her true intent.

The movie is based on the novel by Susan Hill with the screenplay written by Jane Goldman who is best known for her penning the scripts for ‘Kick Ass’, ‘The Debt’ and ‘X-Men: First Class.’ The tone of the UK trailer of the movie looks very promising with lots of suspense! Oftentimes, film makers rely on gore to provide the scare. But judge for yourself! See the trailer below and tell us what you think.

‘Woman in Black’ will be haunting audiences on February 3, 2012 and also stars Ciaran Hinds (‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2’, ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengence’), Shaun Dooley (‘The Awakening’), Roger Allam (‘V for Vendetta’, ‘Game of Thrones’) and Janet McTeer (‘Tideland’).
