Most of the images and video footage coming out of the LA set of Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ lately has been full-on destruction (in the form of explosions or fights). Today we get a more laid back look at the set as Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway glam it up as their alter egos, Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle.
DC Comics and cheesecake artist extraordinaire Adam Hughes has often used classic film actress Audrey Hepburn as inspiration for his Catwoman art. And I’ll be darned if Anne Hathaway doesn’t nail that vibe perfectly in these images! She’s perfectly classy, slinky, and yet… playful, and she isn’t even catting it up. It proves yet again why Nolan is the master of casting these iconic characters. Plus… it doesn’t hurt that Anne Hathaway was my pick for Catwoman even before actual casting began.
Not to be outdone, Christian Bale dons his dapper threads as millionaire Bruce Wayne. However, next to the Hathway’s Selina Kyle, Bruce looks kind of a shlub, don’t you think?
‘The Dark Knight Rises’, directed by Christopher Nolan, will soar into theaters on July 20, 2012 and stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Marion Cotillard.
