We all have our favorite comic book stories, some are about Superman, some Hellboy… heck some people even love Spawn stories. For me, the question of my favorite comic book story is simply answered… Batman: Year One.
If there has ever been an animated comic book movie they are not allowed to screw up, it is this one. The preview looks like they are staying true to the source material, much like All-Star Superman. With the DCnU relaunch coming soon, and everyone screaming to the heavens they need to find new comic book readers, this is the perfect opportunity to build that fan base.
Year One is the story of Bruce Wayne’s return to Gotham City after traveling the world accumulating the skills to become the worlds greatest detective… the Dark Knight, Batman!
Batman: Year One will be available on Blu-ray, DVD, and OnDemand September 27. Or if you’re one of the lucky few at the San Diego Comic Con this year, Batman: Year One will play there in its entirety on Friday July 22, at 8PM in Ballroom 20.
