20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment have been busy!  They closed a deal, obtaining screen rights to ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children.’  Deadline recently reported “that this Ransom Riggs novel is about the discovery of an abandoned orphanage, where a tragedy sends a 16-year-old to an isolated island off of Wales and while there he discovers the abandoned remains of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, he can see the children were more than peculiar, they might have been there because they were dangerous. And some of them might still be lurking around.”  It’s been said that the novel is reminiscent of Harry Potter and already has several suitors.  Even so Fox outbid them all in order to have the movie rights to this novel.

Since the rights were just obtained, obviously there’s no information on when casting or production will start.  But stay tuned and as the information develops we’ll be sure to bring it to you.
