NBC has chosen actress Adrianne Palicki to be the new ‘Wonder Woman’.

No stranger to the DC Comics Universe, Palicki has appeared in a number of television series and movies including: ‘Criminal Minds’, ‘Lone Star’, ‘Legion’, ‘Supernatural’, ‘Smallville’ (playing a powerful Krytonian), ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘Robot Chicken’, ‘Family Guy’, ‘Aquaman’, ‘South Beach’, ‘Electro Luxx’, The John Woo pilot ‘The Robinsons: Lost In Space’ and the upcoming ‘Red Dawn’ reboot.

The series is described as a reinvention of the D.C. Comic’s icon in which Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A., but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.

Of her role on ‘Smallville’ the actress said, “I think the character of “Kara” on Smallville was a little different from the one in the comic because her motive is different. She’s not evil by any means, whatsoever, but she does come to Clark for a specific reason. She doesn’t really have a sense of right or wrong; the morality isn’t there.”

“I would love to do Broadway, I don’t think there’s anything more amazing than theatre. Okay, Supergirl is number one. Maybe I could be Supergirl on Broadway! That would be perfect.”
