Former CBS post-apocalyptic drama television series ‘Jericho’ will now be an ongoing comic book series. IDW Publishing and CBS Consumer Products are teaming up to continue the saga of the fictional town based on the cult favorite television show.
Debuting in 2006, CBS’s ‘Jericho’ aired for two seasons and the first three issues of the comic series will be handled by the original creative team behind the TV show – Dan Shotz, Robert Levine and Jason M. Burns.
Starting in February 2011, IDW will release the ‘Jericho’ Redux, which collects the first three issues. Then, the series will go monthly with writer Matthew Federman and artists Matt Merhoff and Scott West taking over.
