Our First Look At Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio Comes From A Promo Illustration

We still haven’t gotten a look at Jake Gyllenhaal suited up as Mysterio in ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home‘ but the latest issue of Empire Magazine is sharing an illustration of what his character will look like. Sadly, he isn’t rocking the iconic fishbowl helmet that he is known for here. With a name and face like Gyllenhaal, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that we’ll be seeing his face more often than not, but one can still hope that the helmet will make an appearance in the film.

You can check out the first shot and a mini-profile of the upcoming villain who will at first appear to be a hero in the two shots below:

While we don’t see the iconic helmet here that everyone is waiting for, thankfully a few fans took to Photoshop to solve this problem:

I really do have to say that I hope we see Mysterio with the helmet on for most of the movie. I know that Marvel Studios likely wants to show off Gyllenhaal’s looks as much as possible, but it feels that the spectacle of being in disguise would be more fitting for the origins of the character.
