Scott Derrickson

With ‘Doctor Strange‘ having faded from existence with the other half of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’ after the close of ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ it hasn’t been clear if there would be a sequel but a new post from director Scott Derrickson hints that it could be coming. Currently, ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ is in the works and we already know that most of the characters will likely be making a comeback, so it isn’t too far-fetch to believe Strange is one of those that’ll be returning for more.

This is just speculation based on an Instagram post by the director:

“Not my will, but thine be done…” See you in September.

Now, it should be noted that Derrickson has just deleted his Twitter account, so this could just mean that the director is taking a break from Instagram at this time. However, with the inclusion of Doctor Strange, it feels that it could be eluding to the character and something to do with him.

Kevin Feige has previously stated that Doctor Strange is vital to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe so if any of the characters are likely to be returning, Strange seems to be a safe bet. It does feel a bit early to be announcing it or almost any other film before the release of ‘Avengers 4’ where we officially will see how many of our heroes will be returning.

Are you looking forward to a second ‘Doctor Strange’ movie? Do you feel that the character will return to the land of the living in ‘Avengers 4’? What story arcs do you hope could inspire this film? Share your thoughts below, True Believers!
