Lucifer

We know that Netflix resurrected ‘Lucifer‘ for a fourth season after Fox cancelled the series but many wonder what that could mean for the show. While the show was on Fox, there were more restrictions as to what the creators could do with their naughty Prince of Darkness, and many of those could potentially be lifted with the much more forgiving streaming giant. From language to nudity to adult situations, there are quite a few areas which ‘Lucifer’ could get away with more if the creators choose to do so.

Co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich reminds audiences that in the very first season when Chloe Decker meets the series lead that even if you can’t see it, the viewers know that “Lucifer came out naked.” While they didn’t plan on going full frontal even if they could have, “We didn’t want to see anything crazy, but we wanted to see the ‘back’ of him. After all, everybody has a butt.”

The series’ other co-showrunner Joe Henderson quick shared that Tom Ellis who plays Lucifer “has a spectacular one” which audiences might love as Henderson explains, “He’s got a wonderful, wonderful booty, so why not show it? But we couldn’t.” In fact, they had to go out of their way to work on the scene as they “also had to get reflections out of the piano… we had to do all kinds of things that seemed excessive to me.”

Henderson also wants viewers to know that a little bit of nudity isn’t all that might creep into production:

“Our blood can be a little more real, our horror can be a little more horror-y. It will all stay within the language of the show, but we’re definitely going to embrace the little things like that that I think make a big difference.”

This will likely add to the production value for many viewers, and it sounds like they just want to make things gel a bit more cohesively and not go overboard with their newly found creative freedom.
