Penguin Random House has made a deal with Netflix to bring us not 1, not 2, but 3 books related to the smash hit ‘Stranger Things!’ Now, before you get your hopes up too much on original stories set in the world, only one of these three will end up being new fiction.

The first two of these books are set to be non-fiction and are set to be released this fall. One of the two is titled ‘Stranger Things: World Turned Upside Down: The Official Behind-The-Scenes Companion’ and is set to be a behind-the-scenes companion book which will likely have a lot of fun background details from the cast and crew as to how this iconic show has been created. The second book is described as “a hardcover gift book for young readers” though doesn’t share any real details of what can be found inside outside of the fact that it will be full of “advice, wisdom, and warnings from the Stranger Things world.”

The bread and butter of the new works being put together, though, are set to drop in the Spring of 2019 and is a prequel novel for the show. It will be penned by Gwenda Bond (‘Girl on a Wire,’ ‘Fallout’) and will focus on both Eleven’s mother as well as the MKUltra program which gave us the fan-favorite character.

As a huge bonus, there are more titles for both adults and young readers scheduled for later release dates in 2019 though details have yet to be revealed on these.

Now if we could just see a ‘Stranger Things’ D&D edition.
