“I can’t stop the feelin'” that ‘Trolls 2’ is looking to outdo the first film as they’ve just added Sam Rockwell And Chance The Rapper to the already fantastic voice cast of this sequel. It isn’t clear as to what parts these two will play, though while we know Chance has some singing chops, it was interesting to learn that Rockwell can belt out a song as well – unless his character can’t that is.
The two are set to join the returning Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick who are set to reprise their roles as Branch and Poppy as well as some fantastic new cast members which include: Anthony Ramos (‘Hamilton’), Karan Soni (‘Deadpool’), Flula Borg (‘Pitch Perfect 2’), and Jamie Dornan (‘Fifty Shades of Grey’).
I suspect that both of these two might be Trolls from an entirely different area due to the film’s logline:
Queen Poppy and Branch make a surprising discovery — there are other Troll worlds beyond
their own, and their distinct differences create big clashes between these various tribes. When
a mysterious threat puts all of the Trolls across the land in danger, Poppy, Branch, and their
band of friends must embark on an epic quest to create harmony among the feuding Trolls to unite them against certain doom.
This will be some outstanding talent being added to a cast that already had one hit under their belt which has since spawned a Netflix series. While it is doubtful that the animated series will be in canon with the films, it will still be something fun to look forward to.
