sharknado

Ah, ‘Sharknado.’ What started as a simple tornado full of sharks quickly became an annual event. Indeed, it often hasn’t felt like summer until the latest ‘Sharknado’ has come and gone. And not did it become a summertime staple, it did so while reaching new heights of glory (or at the very least insanity) with each new installment. But sooner or later, all good things must come to an end.

That’s right, after six years it seems Fin Shepard is getting ready to chainsaw his last shark. Syfy has confirmed through TVLine that the epic saga will wrap with this summer’s sixth installment. But as bittersweet as that news may be, the series is determined to go out with a bang. Following the cliffhanger ending of 2017’s ‘Sharknado 5: Global Swarming‘, the latest entry will take fans on a wild ride throughout history as our heroes embark on a quest to finally put an end to the sharknados that have plagued the world… before they began.

The official synopsis can be found below, and it puts the series’ prior installments to shame.:

All is lost, or is it? Fin unlocks the time-traveling power of the sharknados in order to save
the world and resurrect his family. In his quest, Fin fights Nazis, dinosaurs, knights, and
even takes a ride on Noah’s Ark. This time, it’s not how to stop the sharknados, it’s when.

The only thing missing now is the ultimate subtitle.

Series mainstay Anthony C. Ferrante returns to direct ‘Sharknado 6’. The climactic ‘Sharknado’ masterpiece stars Ian Ziering alongside a cast of series veterans that includes Tara Reid, Cassie Scerbo, and Vivica A. Fox, all of whom will reprise their familiar roles. The sure to be classic conclusion to the epic ‘Sharknado’ saga is set to air on Syfy on July 25th, 2018.
