With all eyes on ‘Black Panther‘ at the moment (rightfully so), it is easy to forget that ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ was just released for digital ownership (and is coming to Blu-Ray and DVD on March 6th). Marvel has been kind enough to remind us of this with a new trailer promoting the digital release along with a bloopers and gag reel from the movie. And of course, with how hilarious ‘Ragnarok’ by itself was, you can bet the bloopers and gag reel are going to have some great moments in them.
The trailer alone features an amazing gaff where Cate Blanchett accidentally punches Chris Hemsworth while wearing her motion-capture suit, followed by another laugh when you see her dragging his body back to the starting point of the shot. Throw in that we get to see director Taika Waitit in his Korg motion capture suit spouting the lines and performing the character while wearing a “Korg” cut-out on his head, and you know there are some moments in there that they could not wait to show to the public.
And of course, there is the rest of the bonus features as well, including the short made exclusive for the ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Home Video release, ‘Team Darryl,’ which has the Grandmaster being the sole responder to Thor’s friend Darryl’s Craiglist ad for a new roommate, where clearly Jeff Goldblum was all too willing to let loose with the Grandmaster antics once more. All in all, not a bad time to be a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as there is a lot of great content out there right now.
