It’s Morphin Time! This year marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the fan favorite ‘Power Rangers’ franchise! While things have been shaken up a bit in the last week with Bandai of America losing the ‘Power Rangers’ master Toy License to Hasbro after a twenty-five year run (yes, Bandai seriously owned that license for as long as the brand has been around), there is still at least one more Morphenomenal surprise in store for collectors thanks to Bandai Tamashii Nations at New York Toy Fair 2018!

In a surprise announcement this weekend, Tamashii Nations unveiled two new figures for their S.H. Figuarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers line with the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger and the Mighty Morphin Green Ranger! If you’re saying to yourself “but they already made those a few years ago?”, then you would be totally correct except for one major change; they now include television series accurate unmasked heads!

That’s right, the newest Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Figuarts figures come with unmasked civilian heads for two of the most popular rangers of all time, Jason Lee Scott and Tommy Oliver! These will be considered a part of the official ‘Power Rangers 25th Anniversary’ celebration when they release, although there are currently no prices or release dates set for these. There is also, unfortunately, no word as to whether we will be seeing any of the other rangers joining this new Unmasked wave of re-releases in the Power Rangers S.H. Figuarts line.

What do you think of these new unmasked headsculpts? Will you be planning to pick up these two new figures? What other figures do you hope to see get a release (or rerelease) in this line?
