Avengers: Infinity War Chris Hemsworth

It has been hard to tell what the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ trailer has really shown us from the upcoming film but according to Chris Hemsworth it really doesn’t “give much away.” We’ve seen a slew of fight scenes, some new armor, and know that Thanos is looking to put together his Infinity Gauntlet but that covers most of it so far.

In fact, Hemsworth was actually thinking that the trailer didn’t show enough of the movie saying:

“It doesn’t give much away, for sure, because I remember watching it going, ‘aw, it doesn’t tell people enough, and then Joe [Russo] was like, you don’t need to tell them anything, they want anything… Like, ‘Does it explain the story?’ It’s like, ‘it doesn’t need to.'”

Honestly, I love going into these movies seeing surprises and not having everything spelled out ahead of time. With how many spoilers and behind-the-scenes shots that get released up to the film’s debut, it is refreshing to not know what to expect. It isn’t exactly like Marvel fans won’t be lining up around the block to check this out on release night. After all, that first trailer teased so much of what every Marvel Studios film has been building up to this moment so far!

That being said, Hemsworth wasn’t disappointed with the trailer:

“just a smorgasbord of cool s**t… I think we were all excited, watching it, just looking at each other going, ‘Oh my God, look what we’re a part of.’ You know, you’re on the grind and you’re working and on the set, it’s hard to have any perspective, and then you see the trailer and go ‘oh wow,’ this is what we’re in for.”

We’ve recently heard that Hemsworth would love to reprise the role of Thor after his contract comes up and if the studio can bring Taika Waititi back to direct, I’m sure fans would love another standalone movie now that they’ve figured out a working formula for the God of Thunder.

As to how Thor responded to meeting the Guardians of the Galaxy?

“I can’t say too much, but you can see from that reaction of them and him, it’s like, ‘what the hell have I gotten myself into? Where am I? Who is this? Who are they?’ There’s a raccoon, there’s a tree man… he’s pretty confused.”

Personally, I can’t wait to see him interact with the entire team there but I suspect Drax and Rocket will provide the best balance to anything Thor has to say.
