Zach Snyder

Complaints have been coming in from everywhere about ‘Justice League‘ and passionate fans, including Rob Liefeld, want a Zack Snyder‘s Director’s Cut of ‘Justice League to be released. With changes from Joss Whedon taking over the project to a shorter runtime to characters being cut, there was quite a bit of Snyder’s vision which apparently didn’t make it to the big screen. However, a VFX artist who worked on the film has stated that you really shouldn’t hold your breath on a Snyder cut making it out into the wild.

As to why that is? You have to remember that the film wasn’t anywhere near finished when Snyder had to step back from the production in March. At that time, only an assembly cut and nothing nearly done with visual effects were available as there was still months of shooting and CGI which had to be done. To respond to the rumor that a Snyder Cut was secreted away at Warner Brothers here is what the artist had to say:

““1000% bulls**t. As I’ve said, of course, there is an assembly cut Zack had going before he left, but that was 9 months ago. He himself said he hasn’t touched or interfered or been a part of the process since March. There is no cut. People like this guy (who spread the rumor) are the worst, perpetuating rumors of processes they don’t understand.”

To be able to give a Snyder Director’s Cut, there would have to be tons of reshoots and post-production completed. To be totally honest, that doesn’t at all sound like something the studio would like to invest in a film that is already underperforming around the globe.

Are you sad to hear that we’ll never get a Snyder Director’s Cut of ‘Justice League’ or are you happy with the Whedon and Snyder mash up which we ended up getting? Share your thoughts below!
